Took it for 6 months starting with a high dosage to treat pericarditis. I kept to a strict diet and only gained 5 lbs during the 6 months but the other side effects were awful. Developed severe joint pain from head to toe and had leg and foot cramps. I would wake at night in terrible pain that was awful enough to leave me crying. A good alternative to SSRIs for anxiety disorder. But takes a little getting used to. Drowsines, weight gain, and sexual problems are the main side effects.

I had my tubes tied back in 1990 and within the last 6-8 years started having lower back pain due to a tilted uterus, and some cramping and my ob/gyn suggested getting on birth control. Since I've been on Kariva, it has taken care of these 2 problems.

Hi Aunt Fifi -- Can't help you on these capsules, but my friend who has type 2 diabetes went on a raw diet after watching Raw for 30 Days, about regular people who tried a 100% raw diet to beat diabetes, with huge success. Started takin Aleve for knee pain. Developed abdominal pain and couldn't tell if it was bladder or gas. Did not put 2+2 together that it may have been a side effect from the aleve at first. That's how I wound up on this site. Stopped taking it and the abdominal pain went away.
