I've been on Dilantin for about 15 years now. I don't like the side effects at all, especially the memory problems, since they seem to get worse. It worked for me. I had cystic acne on my back, chest, neck, face and after years of dealing with it I saw a dermatologist and he perscribed this. I had dry skin while on the drug but DUH! If you do any research about the drug it permanently changes your oil glands in your skin. I have noticed a slight chap lip years after I have taken it but no other side effects I have related to my accutane treatment. I have been taking enbrel since Apr. 15th of this year and find that I am feeling so much better. My immune system seems to be better than before where my hands would swell up, my feet would also swell and had a hard time walking any distance without a walker. I am more active but can't sleep much during the night. I have also gained weight. My psoriasis is gone from my scalp and arms and legs but still suffer some back pain from the rheumatoid arthritis. My joints also feel so much better.
