I'm sorry that your son is having this issue, and I do think you're right to be concerned. I have asthma and it runs on both sides of the family, so we weren't surprised when our daughter developed it at 2. She was pretty bad--she was on oral steroids etc and had regular breathing treatments. The pediatrician actually ENCOURAGED me to try alternative meds as he said this stuff isn't really tested in kids and we have no clue about the long term. Works very well for my panic disorder. I can take it in the middle of the day if anxious, avoid a panic attack, and continue on with my day. I've been taking Xanax for about 10 years now and it's still as eefective as it was when I started taking it. I can go days without taking any if I have little or no anxiety. As it wears off I do notice I get a little grumpy, that part doesn't feel real good. Overall it helps my quality of life greatly.

I can't imagine taking this for another 4 years. It was hard enough to get through cancer treatments, but to have to deal with this on top of all that is unconceivable. Trying to keep my vigor and conviction to heal, but without sleep and so much pain it is difficult to say the least. Tums is a great and quick way to go to relieve your heartburn. However the relief doen's last. At times I find myself "over dosing" on tums. My heartburn always seems to come back
