I have been taking this medication for about 10 years and I like the results. I had kidney stones for about 4 to 5 episodes in the last 30 years and ever since i was on the Allopurinol I haven't had any kidney stones and I have really enjoyed that !!!

I was also put on an anti depressant because my doctor thought i was depressed because I broke down crying in his office when he asked me how i was feeling, whether i was having suicidal thoughts or not. Turns out its these damn pills that are making me feel crazy. I have almost no sex drive at all and for the longest time i thought there was something really wrong with me because i am only 25 years old! Having been on Lymecycline for almost 10 years now I am only now seeing a connection with memory loss around words: I often remember only the first letter of the word I want (like having a stroke!), or remember it 24 hours later or else the wrong word comes out. I have been worried about greater memory loss the longer I am on these things and only found out by experimenting by coming off them for a week - boy did my conversations flow then - no stumbling over words!

as I've already said i would not recommend this drug. i have been dealing with fainting episodes so my doctor prescribed Bisoprolol Fumarate as a beta blocker to see if it helps at all. the only things I've noticed are negative. Feeling very tired, vivid strange dreams,and now twitching in my leg muscle. my does is low .5mg once a day. My blood pressure has remained pretty much the same aound 100\68-102\70.
