The medication has really helped clear up my roscea but at the expense of my digestive system. I already had IBS with diahhrea and recently had gallbladder surgery so when the diahhrea become worse I blamed it on the surgery but was confused because I didn't notice it to be any worse directly after surgery. It finally hit me that I had resumed Doxycycline Hyclate a few weeks after surgery and after looking up side affects, I now believe the worsing symptoms could very well be the medication.... As i mentioned previously the best thing about azithromycin is that i'm not allergic to it. In addition i did not have to take too much of the drug for too long to feel healthy once again.I only had to take 500mg once a day for 5 days.

During the first week I took half a dose and experienced a pretty strong distaste to all foods. Even when I was hungry, the sight and smell of food made me feel sick. This went away during the second week. My only other side effect is that I don't sleep as much as I used to. Also, it tends to wear off suddenly between doses. I'm sure that has to do with my not finding the proper dosage for me (I've only been on it for about 4 weeks), but that is something to keep in mind when considering... View full comment

I was diagnosed with myoclonus by a neurologist a year ago, although I had suffered from it a couple of years before hand. An MRI scan and EEG failed to show any abnormalities, however I was diagnosed with epilepsy and perscribed the anti- epileptic drug Levetiractam (Keppra). The Keppra reduced the intensity of my myoclonus but not the fequency so I have been perscribed Clonazepam.
