I was given this prescription by my dentist. I have to take 4 pill prior to going in to have my teeth cleaned or any dental work done because I have a fusion in my back and if I dont take the medicine prior it could cause a severe interaction with my blood and the metal in my back. It makes my stomach hurt when I take it but to me that is better than taking the chance of getting the infection

I'm sorry that your son is having this issue, and I do think you're right to be concerned. I have asthma and it runs on both sides of the family, so we weren't surprised when our daughter developed it at 2. She was pretty bad--she was on oral steroids etc and had regular breathing treatments. The pediatrician actually ENCOURAGED me to try alternative meds as he said this stuff isn't really tested in kids and we have no clue about the long term. Tri-regol has been the only birth control that I've been taking that is basically "symptom-free". I did not gain weight, get a yeast infection, have a change in vision or get nauseous or tired, as I have experienced with other birth control pills. It gets a A++ in my book
