I have been on synthroid for a little over a year and it has done little to benefit me. My condition has worsened making my skin even more sensative as well as my eye site and countless other things. I do not recommend this to other patients- there are more side effects than beneficial effects of the drug.

I have been suffering from a degenerative joint problem with my spine for about 4 years now. I take vicodin when feeling queezy sounds better than being in pain. Taking it for longer periods (ie... every day for a week) causes me to have itching spells. I prefer percocet but it is harder to get off that stuff. Update. The worry over Lantus is over for me. I tried Levemir for a couple of months, before switching back to Lantus as it made no difference to the pain. Then I had a diagnosis of polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) a few weeks ago. This was after several visits to my doctor and a rheumatologist, blood tests and a radiological bone scan. I'm now on a lowish dose of prednisolone (10mg/day), with calcium (800mg/day) and alendronic acid (70mg once per week) to protect my bones from the steroid. Most... View full comment

Nausea was the main problem after having colon cancer surgery. Replaced with Tylenol with good results.
