The Ultram caused slight dizziness in the beginning which stopped after taking it for a while. It caused really significant memory problems initially. Now, when taking the medication, I mix my words up sometimes; but I do not feel confused. I can pretty much function normally. But I would use this drug cautiously in the elderly! Anaphylactic shock here. I had to be rushed to the hospital. My face swelled up until the eyes were slits; the tongue swelled; and welts were all over my body. My tongue swelled within a few minutes of injestion. I was lucky to get to the hospital in time.
