Cymbalta was the -worst- experience I've ever had with mental health medicine. I've suffered from depression for 12 years and tried many medications but Cymbalta, by far, has the -worst- side effects to any drug I've ever tried. Granted the pharmacy made a mistake, but the mistake was in my favor! They gave me half the dosage they were supposed to (which was 30mg of Cymbalta) which was the appropriate dosage. After being diagnosed with epilepsy in March 2011 and having extemely painful terrifying focal and generalised grand mal seizures, I didn't want to take potent antiepileptic meds with very serious side effects. Horrible. Have been on it this go around for 2 weeks. I have broken out in acne all over my face, gained 6 pounds literally overnight, my throat has felt swollen for 2 days and my stomach is horribly bloated. I am taking this for endometriosis, and frankly I would rather keep dealing with it than taking these pills. I was on them years ago before my kids were born and did not notice these issues.
