I was prescribed Lupron to stop my periods, which were always painful with heavy bleeding. Since I was in treatment for early stage breast cancer, it was also recommended to control the estrogen, which helped to produce my tumour. I had had two 1-month shots and I am never taking this drug again. I can stand the hot flashes, the exessiuve sleepiness in my case and the feeling of weakness in the muscles. Tussionex sucks in comparison to the hydrocodone/guaifenesin combo products taken off the market. It's time release properties are crap, it doesn't work. The antitussive properties of the hydrocodone component are far less apparent than in previous formulas. Also, very expensive.

My grandfather has taken Niaspan for a little over 2 years, he started within the last month with more moderate waking up at night a flushing.
