My daughter was on this pill to help regulate her periods. For 3 months her stomach has been an absolute mess! She can barely eat without feeling sick and nauseated. the pil has been affective. I took it for about 8 or 9 years. I am no longer on it and have had my colesterol checked and my HDL was low and I have read articles that says that may be due to the birth control pill.

I turned 65 this July 28. Five years ago I had, and used weekly, a fitness club membership. I went Kayaking, camping, fishing, walking, played volleyball, and hosted/attended a variety of writing/poetry venues. I take low-ogestrel for birth control. Previously I was on NuvaRing, which I really liked and recommend. However, I was travelling in hot climates and NuvaRing needs to remain cool and I could not always keep it refrigerated, so I had to switch to low-ogestrel. I did not have any side effects with NuvaRing (skin complexion improved) and effects with low-ogestrel have been minor, but I don't like that I have to remember it everyday, because I don't.
