Please don't start Agomelatine with these side-effects in your mind. Wait and see what it does for you. everybody reacts different and it could be the right one for you! I think, if you you have psychosomatic problems that you can definetely "talk" yourself also into not having a benefit from A., because you read a lot of stuff you didn't like to hear and now you fear you might react the same. I was fine at 500 mg/day. When my doctor increased me to 1000 mg/day I developed severe abdominal pain and vomiting, requiring hospitalization, after 4 days of use.

This drug made me so sick I would NEVER take it again. I wish i could sell the whole bottle to the person who made the comment about it helping them focus. I was so sick, it caused nausea, vomiting, fever and I couldn't get out of bed. The worst medication i have ever been prescribed!!!

The first couple of days were great but a couple of times, i started to hallucinate and then i had an extreme headache, the worst i ever had. They had to call doctors in the hospital to do some brain scans.
