For greatest effectiveness, should be prepared as an infusion. The standard preparation is about 4 oz per liter of boiling water infused for at least 4 hours. Lengthy infusion extracts a large amount of the minerals that contribute to a healthy nervous system and bone health (calcium, magnesium, etc) that you don't really get from extracts, capsules etc

July 2009 was when I noticed that my menstral cycle was freaking out and there was no more 28 days in between. I was lucky to get 18 days. Also, they were lasting longer - instead of 5-7 days, they were 7-10 days and heavy cramping, bleeding, and pain. Now - I am 40 years old. Took it for 6 months starting with a high dosage to treat pericarditis. I kept to a strict diet and only gained 5 lbs during the 6 months but the other side effects were awful. Developed severe joint pain from head to toe and had leg and foot cramps. I would wake at night in terrible pain that was awful enough to leave me crying. I had taken Topamax before and it had worked great for me for about four years, then I supposed I became immune to it. I was put on Lyrica and it made me feel horrible and I was constantly getting hurt. I am now back on Topmax and hopefully soon the Lyrica will be out of my system.

I take it for gastroparisis and it has been extremely effective. I feel so much better and I am able to eat again without all the gas and hearburn associated with gastroparisis.
