There are so many different kinds of medications out there. You aren't just going to immediately find the right one for you. It's all about trial and error. Hydrocodone did alleviate my back pain. I unfortunately became reliant on the drug to perform everyday actions. Anyone on this medication needs to be aware that there are serious side effects. The recommended dose is recommended for a reason. It is highly addictive.
