Sandostatin-Lar was very good at controlling my diarrea at first, but as the months wnet on I started to be very sick and had most of the serious side effects. Tingling in hands and feet, bloating leading to a lot of pain, vomiting acid, back ache, pain every time I ate due the wind build up. Melatonin

Took melatonin 300 mg for 4 nights. Excellent sleep first 2 nights; Unremarkable sleep 3rd night; vivid dreams and "drugged" feeling 4th night. Strange body odor and taste in mouth. 5th day, strange stomach distention (very mild gas), slight dizziness, grogginess. I have Hashimoto's so perhaps melatonin is contraindicted for daily use. Will continue to use occasionally for insomnia, but not more than 2 nights a week.

I have experienced the rare side effect of visual disturbances each time I have taken this drug. The central visual disturbances are now geting too much for me and I am considering quitting taking it. It has taken myself and my GP some time to eliminate my migraines and my other medication, Topamax, from causing these unwanted side effects.

I was put on ativan 3 times per day starting in january for panic attacks that I was having. The problem with ativan is that if you are having a panic attack it takes a while for the medicine to kick in and stop it. I also was having some side effects with it such as tremors and nightmares. My doctor switched me to xanax and I liked it a lot better. It stopped my panic attacks within 10 minutes of taking the medicine vs the hour it took to stop them when I was taking the adivan. Lupron Depot

I took ONE shot of 3.75mg Lupron Depot prior to fibroid surgery and still have an enlarged abdomen / bloating / fluid retention nearly one year later. I weigh only 91 pounds but my formerly flat stomach sticks out like a baby bump. What's worse, it's very uncomfortable. My clueless doctor suggested I wear Spanx (what, forever?) and even that didn't hold my abdomen in. It's a hormonal issue. I developed Menier's in my early sixties. It took a while to control so that my specialist put me on increasing amounts of Betahistine. At six to eight a day it was mostly controlled although I had break- out episodes that put me in hospital overnight. I was also prescribed medication to control fluid , in my head, I guess.
