I took them for a short period this past fall. They weren't particularly effective. Not really any different from taking tylenol as far as aches went. The nasal congestion relief was minimal at best.

I've been taking this for over a year. At first like with any birth control I was nausea"s the first month when taking it but you solve that by taking it before bed duh! I love it haven't gained weight, start my period one day after stop taking it instead of waiting days and I didn't get mood swings or any other side affects

Gelhist

What side effects do most people experience from Gelhist and related drugs? The label I saw says: severe dizziness, anxiety, restless feeling, or nervousness fast, pounding, or uneven heartbeats confusion, hallucinations, unusual thoughts or behavior feeling like you might pass out urinating less than usual or not at all easy bruising or bleeding, unusual weakness, fever, chills, body aches, flu symptoms increased blood pressure (severe headache, blurred vision, trouble concentrating, chest... I am glad I found this site also. I took candex before bed and woke up with an allergic reaction. I only get this way if I eat something I am allergic too, which I am positive I didn't so it has to be the candex. My eyes, lips, and hands are extremely swollen and I can feel my lungs are swollen. My chest really hurts and it's hard to breath.

I can't take estrogen based pills, so this seemed like a good option. For the most part it's been ok, but I've gained about 10 lbs and haven't been able to make it budge! I work out religiously and eat only around 1200 calories a day, and the weight keeps creeping on! I stopped taking my pills for about a week, and 5 lbs have already melted away!
