I have been taking Topamax for quite a few years. Topamax worked great when I first started to take it then I needed more and more. I think you build up an immunity to it.

Unfortunately, I have only recently started to recearch this medication and it's side effects. At first I thought effxor xr was the best thing that ever happened to me, but after taking it for 2 plus years I wish it was never prescribed to me. Everyone is different, I know, but so many people, me included, experience terrible side effects from missing ONE dose. My doctor told me that I am experiencing withdrawal symptoms. I loved Mononessa except for having somewhat frequent yeast infections (about 1 every 3 months). Also, sometimes my skin would get extremely sensitive. Like when I went to wax my eyebrows the skin would literally come off and when I brushed my teeth the skin in my mouth would peel off. My skin would only get like that every once in a while and it would stay like that for about a week.

Suddenly my blood pressure is extremely hi.... from 140 - 90 to 176-98+... For the first time in my life I have to take 20 mg of Enalapril twice a day to keep my blood pressure on check. Even so, the BP goes up to 150 - 95 after twelve hours of taking a pill.... I also have this jiterry feeling and can feel the pulse in the tip of my fingers..... As if in extreme alert or distress
