I find the withdrawal symptoms quite severe; a few years ago my doctor wanted to start me on something else but wanted to get me off Effexor first; within 2 days my sleep patterns were very disrupted with vivid dreams and restlessness, by the 4th day my body was shaking - almost spasmodic. I went back on the Effexor, but find that even one missed or delayed dose causes a hightened dream state, my mind starts to race and I don't sleep well at all. I fear going off it, but hate the dependency.

I am experiencing a severe skin reaction. All of face and upper chest area ( exposed to daylight ) is a very pinky/red . The affected skin area is tingly and feels as though it has been burnt. I have been to my GP who prescribed Hayleve which I took for 3days and the redness subsided . On stopping the 4mg 4x day the condition is recurring. woke up with severe pain in left eye; subsided, and then headache (in first month) rash & itching; used 2.5%cortizone;itching left & has now returned, on faced & eyes last time, now all over. Unbalanced when getting out of bed at night & morning. Lamotrigine has stopped me from getting auras due to complex partial epilepsy, however, when I was at a high dose I would get heart palpitations every day very severely. My doctor lowered my dosage and the palpitations stopped. Also, I skipped a dose one day and had an aura that day, so don't skip any doses.
