I developed Menier's in my early sixties. It took a while to control so that my specialist put me on increasing amounts of Betahistine. At six to eight a day it was mostly controlled although I had break- out episodes that put me in hospital overnight. I was also prescribed medication to control fluid , in my head, I guess. After trying several other medications, Amrix was the first to relieve the intense constant pain in my head. I was extremely tired the first couple of weeks after I started taking it. Not sure I want to continue this drug due to the bloating and concern about the long-term affects. Was off it for less than a week and the bloating went away--nearly 5 lbs' worth. What replaced it was the worst heartburn I have ever had in my life. Got my refill and now the bloat is back. Heartburn is gone, however.

I was diagnosed with juvenile osteoporosis at a very young age. I broke a number of bones in my chest, back, feet, and arms. I wore a back brace for many years because I kept breaking bones in my back and my chest. I have been taking calcium ever since and my calcium levels have stabilized. I’m doing much better and I don’t break bones as much as I used to as a kid.
