I love effexor and what it did for me. I don't like having to deal with hives and looking like I've been mugged. My face swells and the hives make me scratch holes in my skin. I've missed work because of frequent hospital trips. I would take effexor again, but I would really rather do without that particular side effect.

I've taken other statin drugs for many years and slowly drifted into the severe side affects w/o knowing it. I lived through the side affects, thinking it was an age thing. The doctor never asked about some of the severe side affects so I didn't link them together until I read an article. Used for pain relief - Atypical facial pain - Having tried Amitripyline and Carbamozole without sucess (limited pain relief and too many side effects) I find I tolerate Dosulepin well and have acheived about 80% relief at a dose of 75mg per day.

More energy than when using Advair with less cramps. Not on long enough to compare weight gain which was evident with Advair. Am considering other options due to mood swings and severe headaches (last half a day) from this drug. Lungs feel great, but other side effects seem to make this a poor choice.

I would strongly discourage women with anxiety and/or depression from taking this pill. I've suffered from anxiety and depression for years, which is kept in check by medication, however by week three of my first pack of this pill, I experienced depression so severe that I did nothing but sleep and cry for a week.
