Three years ago I was diagnosed with Colon Cancer with Liver Metasis After surgery they started my quimo one of the weekly, then bimonthly for the past three years I was just discharge from treatment and thanks to God I am completly cleared. As explain by my Doctor Avastin inhibited cell production eliminating or promoting the death of cancer propagation. I experience very little side effects the one effect was elevated blood preassure.

My thyroid lvls were low so doctor prescribed this to me 25 mg. once a day. I noticed a weight gain immediately, headaches, severe joint pain, my throat felt swollen or like a lump was in it and overall negative effects. I had a hysterectomy the same month the doctor prescribed this so I am unsure if its the levothyroid or effects of no hormones...maybe a little of both. Does not work and I experienced major hair loss as a side effect!! I have lost 50% of my hair in the (6) months I've been forced to use ProAir I've now resorted to using old CFC Albuterol Inhalers that expired in 2007.. they work better then this new inhalers and I'll take my chances using expired medications... beats turning blue from lack of O2 & going bald!

I got my thyroid radiated 9 yrs ago and went hypo soon after. I was prescibed levoxyl but I have never felt the same. I still have a goiter but smaller. I'm often cold and have low energy but my hands shake and at night I have trembling in my torso and arms. If my thyroid was radiated, is some of it still active and can I switch to different meds.?
