After having my first child I switched from the pills to mirena and for 17weeks I experienced spotting. From then on I experienced terrible acne and horrible periods. I was very dissatisfied with the Mirena. From all the other opinions I encounted I must have been the exception because I am happier with paragaurd.

I wasn't told that it could have possible side effects of raising blood pressure and chest pain. Even though I think what I went through may be rare, I think it should be listed on brochure and people should apply topical cream sparingly.

I also got the Gardasil vaccine and yes it ruined my life too! Two years ago I received it and started developing severe acne on my face. I had two of the three shots. I want to warn everyone who I can that this shot could perhaps ruin their life. Some people are severely affected and some are not. I was given the first 2 rounds of injections at the advice of my OB/Gyn after the birth of my son. My health insurance then lapsed, so I had to wait on the third. I am 28 years old, and just had my first abnormal pap ever after having these injections. Upon further testing, I was diagnosed with high risk HPV (not sure of the exact strain).
