I'm a 42 yrs., and suffer from endometriosis. Heavy periods, and extreme cramps and bloating for up to 8 days. I have refused to use BC for approximately 10 yrs. because of all the side effects. I'm very sensative to BC, weight gain, moodiness, anxiety. My pain and discomfort was no longer tolerable, I had to do something. I've been taking the pill since July 26th. I have bilateral labral tears in my hip capsules, impingement, and CAM cysts. These problems, over a year's period of time caused me very severe pain, and depression. I can't say enough about how after taking Zyflamend for about 3 days, my pain was under control and I didn't feel depressed anymore because I could actually move and sit without severe pain!!

Unfortunately, I have had a real problem with hormonal birth control. I'm currently taking Microgestin, and while I'm kind of miserable on it, it's not as bad as what I experienced with Ortho. My only real complaint is that I have developed contact lens intolerance, and get red, gritty, painful eyes every time I wear my lenses for more than one day at a time. My Dr., of course, doesn't think it's from the pill, but would rather send me to a series of unnecessary (and expensive) tests. G... View full comment

From all the medications I took, this is the only one that could help me cure to my flu, and I would recommend it to anybody who has flu. Concerning the side-effects, I think it depends on each individual. For me, I didn't have that much complications.
