I take Benadryl D for Sinus and Allergies and on occasion, Benadryl Severe Allergy and Sinus Headache. I find that Benadryl does NOT work in hot or humid weather and my nose becomes very stuffy. For Benadryl to take FULL effect, I need to be in a very cold room around 70 degrees. Also, the effects wear off every 4 hours or so and the stuffiness in my nose increases with the intake every four hours instead of decreasing. My 6 year old son developed severe painful hives all over his body. His feet and hands became so swollen and painful that he refused to walk and could not even play anything that involved using his hands. This is the worst reaction I have ever seen in four children. I will never allow my kids to take this drug again.

I come from a very allergic background, and I've tried other medications but I feel like Benadryl is the most efficient and gives me the fastest relief. The downside is that I do get very drowsy when I take it.

I have begun drinking pomegranate juice (not from concentrate) every morning and I haven't seen any changes although I've been drinking it consistently. The benefits of pomegranates could be long-term rather than short-term so I will continue my pomegranate drinking-regimen.

Ibuprofen is usually very helpful for headaches and period pain. Although, I would rather take fewer pills to diminish that pain.

Every time I'm sick I take Mucinex D. It really does take out all of the infection in my chest and throat. It really does bring it all up. It helps you cough and makes you feel better once you stop coughing. I would recommend it for everyone when they have congestion in the chest or throat.
