I was put on xyzal 5mg after nothing else worked. After about 1 week I started having visual hallucinations, thankfully they only lasted about 3 days and they weren't that bad . I didn't find anything on the pamphlet inside the box warning about this being a possible side effect.

For blood pressure-hared to urinate bladder pressure needed catheter to urinate. VERY BAD memory loss, could not think clear of find words to remember places and putting thoughts into words,sweating& hot flashes swollen feet,legs and ankles,blurred vision...may lower BP but not worth the side effects for me I stopped this medication and after 6 weeks effects are less but some still there,still very blurred vision,memory is better, urine has cleared,able to urinate regualr now.

I have experienced severe anxiety and depression, coupled with incessant coughing and difficulty breathing. The joint pain has been unbearable. I would wake up at night feeling as though I was being tortured, in too much pain to even turn over. I now take the 25mg dosage on alternate days and that has reduced the side effects to just tolerable. Helped with swelling around my joints, however caused severe stomach pain after I had been taking it for a few months. I had to quit taking the medication and take another to repair my stomach lining.
