I also developed RA after my Gardasil shots. I was a competitive dance my entire life and was completely healthy. It took a YEAR for doctors to figure out I had RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS..doctors thought my joints were flaring up because I was an athlete. I hear more stories like mine everyday. We need to have more girls make the connection between Gardasil and RA. This is not fair! I am 19 years old and have to give myself a shot weekly so I can walk.

Originally, my dosage was started at 50mg, then raised gradually to 150mg. I have unexplained muscle/joint pain. The pain starts late in the day and becomes debilitating. High doses of motrin helps. Sometimes I have residual pain in the joint the next day. The pain has affected areas from my jaw to my feet. Any suggestions?

Update. The worry over Lantus is over for me. I tried Levemir for a couple of months, before switching back to Lantus as it made no difference to the pain. Then I had a diagnosis of polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) a few weeks ago. This was after several visits to my doctor and a rheumatologist, blood tests and a radiological bone scan. I'm now on a lowish dose of prednisolone (10mg/day), with calcium (800mg/day) and alendronic acid (70mg once per week) to protect my bones from the steroid. Most... View full comment

After taking Spiriva for over three years I suddenly experienced bronchospasm and shortness of breath. I stopped taking Spiriva and these adverse reactions stopped. My lung function test results have shown great improvement in lung function but I can no longer tolerated Spiriva.
