This drug is DANGEROUS. It damaged my lingual nerve permanently. I now have a paresthesia/dysesthesia of my tongue, right side, going on 17 months. It is torture. My taste is altered along with burning pain and tingling in my tongue on the right side.

Since stopping the medication Ive had horrendous side effects which have meant I've spent the last 3 days in bed and I'm still no better. I'm wondering how long these side effects will last. I stopped meds on Monday and have woken up I'll again today. I have sever hot and cold sweats, headache, muscle ache, nausea, general feeling of being unwell like I'm coming down with flu. Will I feel like this for much longer? It's debilitating.

i feel this way after almost one year (half that year was on the generic microgestin), and finally realized my feeling may be a side effect of junel. thought it was just me and didn't know how to control my mood. cryin right now actually :( i think i may skip tonight's pill and just stop birth control for good. the hormones are horrible for the environment anyways. i plan to start using condoms and natural family planning instead. ....or i may just try the ring bc it is supposedly much lower... Tylenol works fine for my pain relief, but it seems to take longer to feel the relief than Advil. I prefer aspirin for pain relief from headaches because it works quicker.
