I suffer from an overactive thyroid problem and am aged 35, I never used to get any side affect from Carbimazole. After stopping taking the tablets for a few years I am back on them again. However, I cannot take them without being violently sick.

amitriptyline was added to my other medications because I was grinding my teeth at night and not getting rested sleep. This medication had to be increased after taking 50 mg/day for several years and is now back to working pretty well.

I had taken Marax in the mid 70s and as a 16 year old "in charge" of her medication, I probably took more than prescribed and suffered severe anxiety attacks. Sometimes so debilitating, I wanted to jump out of my skin. Then I would crash and thought I was going to die. If you are taking Adderall XR it is important that you are meeting with an MD to best understand how it works. Also know, that Adderall XR is not a cure for adult ADD. It's important to read books and learn as much as you can. I know for me, I need to put my keys in the same place every time. I know when I study I need to eliminate as many distractions as possible. There are things that I do regardless of taking medication to put myself in a position to be successful. It takes work.

Stopped taking it because the excessive weight gain was depressing. Also didn't enjoy being hungry all the time. Did experience mild improvement in depression, but not enough to make me want to keep taking it considering how the weight gain negatively impacted my mood.
