I am on day 8 of prevpac for h pylori gastritis. Diarrhea, strange taste in mouth and dry mouth started from day 1, but they did not bother me so much. From day 6 I started stomachache and severe fatigue, tachycardia. I am wondering whether I should stop the med. I learned that in Japan this same combination of medications are prescribed only for 7 days as the standard treatment for h pylori and there is much higher incidence of h pylori infection in Japan. difficult to ascribe side effects to specific drug from other drugs taken e.g. simvastatin,lansoprazole, aspirin 75 mg.or for that matter from advancing age (75 yrs.)

Works well once it starts working, however, it does take a while to start working. Does not upset my stomach like other pain relievers and anti-inflammatories. Also, the small pill size of the 200ml is nice and easy to swallow.
