I was given the marcaine prior to having injections in my back. It did a really good job at numbing the area that they were injecting so I felt the least amount of pain possible.

I've been on Dilantin for about 15 years now. I don't like the side effects at all, especially the memory problems, since they seem to get worse. Sometimes I forget a word in the middle of my sentence, I then getflustered and forget my entire thought. I'm also constantly tired and even though I am only 44 years old, I sometimes feel like my 81 year old mother. Wow this drug got very bad reviews, but I have been on it for about a month and I still want to have just as much sex, or even more. It's hard to tell if I have side effects because I'm travelling and I'm exhausted, but I do a lot every day. But so far I have not experienced anything unbearable or stands out completely from the medicine. I am on 0.25 Xanax twice a day along with Ativan 0.5mg -2 tabs before bedtime. My Dr. wanted me to try Xanax and see what worked the best for me. I had been on Ativan 0.5 mg 3 or 4 times day and it seemed to have quit working for me. Now, I can't really tell any difference between Ativan and Xanax. I really think i like Ativan the best. So frustated with meds. I am also on Lexapro- 20 mg. Any suggestions for me?
