I went off this drug this morning and am looking forward to not bleeding for a month straight at a time (I think of the 3 ½ months i've been on it, i've bled for 2 ½ - 3 months). I certainly won't miss severe mood swings (or crying jags). I have't gained weight - but i've had a tough time loosing it. I wonder how long it will take for my system to get back to "normal".

micronor is better than combined pills, but cycles will be irregular. But that is the trade for less side effects.

Terrible drug. I always felt like I was going to faint. Made it almost impossible to drive a car or function at work. Fell quite a few times due to dizziness. I would not recommend this drug. I never had high blood pressure to begin with, not sure why the Dr insisted that I take this drug. It was 120/70 which I always thought was normal. When taking lisinopril my pressure was 90/50 which I think was too low and why I was dizzy and fainting. I've changed doctors and seen a cardiologist and bot... View full comment

I was also put on an anti depressant because my doctor thought i was depressed because I broke down crying in his office when he asked me how i was feeling, whether i was having suicidal thoughts or not. Turns out its these damn pills that are making me feel crazy. I have almost no sex drive at all and for the longest time i thought there was something really wrong with me because i am only 25 years old! I have been on lipitor since Dec. 2008 and I was having pain in my legs. I told my Doctor in March 2009 the last time and he reassured me that it was unlikely to be lipitor. I continued to take it until April 26, 2009. Days before the pain had gotten so bad that I couldn't sleep, stand ,walk or sit. When I was still I had a dull throbbing pain in my muscles.
