I am in my final week of the 3 month treatment. I've decided to stretch the final week into 2 weeks - taking one dose a day, instead of two. I believe the withdrawl will be a little easier (hopefully). Chantix certainly did take away the urge to smoke, I haven't had a cigarette since October 24th. (I actually stopped the first week). The side effects were many, but nothing too severe. Any time a drug works on the brain, you never know what to expect. The worse side effect I experienced was sl... View full comment

55 year old male, married 32 years and who could not get himself to consistently excercise and when the economy collapsed - it was a great excuse not to work out because i need to work. Problem was that i was not really working - just showing up to work. As the economy was in the tank and my business suffering horrible financial losses, I knew my life and my physical and mental health were all out of balance and fragile. Who wouldn't with everything collapsing around me, a natural conclus... View full comment

While one of Gleevec's side affects is diarreha (mine was really severe) I found that by taking 1000mg of vitamin D every other day almost completely stopped it. I didn't find that out until after losing 35 lbs. but if it helps someone else, great. Puffy eyes for 7 years now have made my eyes so beat up looking. Haven't found anything that really helped that. They're totally destroyed now. Swelling throughout my body and face. Sometimes more than others. Joint pain in fingers, feet and muscl... View full comment

I started spironolactone for my hormonal acne as an alternative to birth control. It takes about 3 months to work, but it works very well! For me, the spironolactone worked very well for 6 months, but has been working less effectively in the last few months

Have been on 200 mg Zoloft for five years and it's effect were beginning to wane. My doctor weaned me down to 100 mg of Zoloft and added 50 mg Pristiq approximately three month ago. The first few weeks on Pristiq I experienced nausea and upset stomach along with severe lethargy. After the third week things began to level out and I did notice that my mood began to lift and become more even. I am still tired a lot and my appetite has been suppressed (which is a good thing) but the nausea is... View full comment
