With Bactrim (generic) I get immediate relief from my chronic prostatitis symptoms. However, during my last two bouts with this condition, I have also had my high blood pressure drop into the normal range. The first time, the drop was extreme so that I discontinued the high blood pressure medication for about 3 months before it returned. My 15 year old son has ADHD. He has been on numerous stimulants over the years as well as Strattera. The stimulants caused decreased weight and appetitie and increased frustration. Etodolac is the 4th anti-inflammatory I have tried, and it has worked the best for me. I don't like the anxious feeling I get from time to time after taking it, but I check my blood pressure and it is fine. I wish I didn't have to take 1000 mg a day of this drug, but it has helped the stiffness and pain a lot. I have been told there are a lot of drugs like this, and a person just needs to find the one that works the best for them.
