I took MARAX as a child in 60's, early 70's for asthma. I found it effective, but found it to cause a (to me, scary) side effect my doctor never mentioned: Marax caused me to "see stars" upon rising from sitting position; to the point that this "visual static" (similar to analog TV picture after station goes off the air) made it impossible to see, momentarily, upon rising. The doctor gave me these patches before taking my first plane ride. I get really bad motion sickness and these work great! I cant tell you enough how happy I was, I didnt have the slightest bit of motion sickness

i enjoyed the effects of ritalin, however the effects of the drug started very quickly and ended abruptly. i had a lot of mood swings during this time as well and no appetite. i also gained weight while on this medication as when i took it i had no appetite, and when i was off of the medication I overcompensated.

I took this only once, and it produced extreme chest tightness, breathing problems, stomach problems, severe dizziness, and anxiety. Within hours of taking it, I felt like someone had a fist in my chest, my breathing was labored, and I was so dizzy I was knocking into the walls. I'm still having some of these symptoms (though quite reduced) after three days. I've seen others on other sites reporting the exact same symptoms, yet dr "not sure" it's the medication.

I wanted to stop taking the drug because of the side effects however the side effect from stopping even gradualy gave me severe seizures or commonly called "Brain Zaps" so bad I don't want to stop. I feel like its a trick and my Dr. recommended me to double the dose. So he is like my crack dealer and now I am stuck on this pill forever.

I am on day 11 of 14 days and feel sick most of the time. If it gets rid of the rather resistant infection I suppose its worth it but I do feel depressed, probably because it's not a lot of fun to feel sick.
