The initial hair loss was much more than I expected - probably half my hair if I judged by the thickness of my ponytail and lasted longer than expected probably 9 months from the start of my taking it. I didn't notice it too much for the first 4-5 months but I was also taking prednisone then. After I stopped the prednisone about 6 months in with the Imuran the hair loss became pronounced. I found that I am very sensitive to sunlight, much more so than with regular Doxycycline, and need to use sunblock. When I first started taking it, I was out in the sun all day and applying 55 sunblock periodically, and the next day started itching where the sunlight had hit. The following days, it became red and then rather scaley.

So far, I am extremely satisfied with my experience using Ortho Tri-Cyclen. The pills are small and discreet, so I can take them without my religious grandparents even knowing that I am. I've taken Lisinopril for about 12 years. The last year and a half I started to get a "patchy numbness" on the bottom of my feet. I felt that this was most likely due to the addition of Clonidine to my blood pressure Rx's. I told my doctor about this and she then doubled my Clonidine. So far, it seems to have helped lower my choesterol, and I haven't noticed any side effects. I was taking 10mg daily, but I was concerned about possible liver damage and requested my doctor lower the prescription to 5mg.
