Acyclovir

Helps clear up cold sores fast. But you have to begin taking acyclovir as soon as the symptons appear, or it's not as effective.

I only used it once and I had a terrible experience with it, even though for all intent and purposes it did work. The night I took it, I woke up in sweats and I starting vomiting pretty badly. I was also dizzy and I could barely stand. I was up all night, but the next day I was fine.
