Developed Parkinson's after 4 yrs of Lipitor therapy for "primary prevention". No fly Hx of neurodegenerative ds; no fly hx of cardiovascular ds. Just mildly elevated TC. Am aware of others who feel Parkinson's due to lipitor, and 2 who feel ALS due to lipitor. Cholesterol necesary for synaptogenesis in brain; brain makes its own cholesterol via same pathway statins interrupt--thus depriving brain of the fat it needs. With any antibiotic, it's good to stick with the recommended dosage and duration of treatment. Although I felt better in a few days, failure to take the pills until the end of the noted time caused the pain to return--that's how bacterial resistance develops!

I have been taking Fosamax for 4 years. The side effects have gotten worse the last two. I do have an irregular heart beat (Supra VT) that has also gotten worse. My last bone density test shows the results to be very minimal if at all.

Yesterday I left school with a really bad sore throat, later that night I started to get a stuffy nose. I took NyQuil then went to bed and woke up with a very stuffed nose, nauseous, and a horrible headache. I took DayQuil and my nose cleared up quickly and the headache was starting to go away. However, my face broke out in a rash that was not itchy or bumpy. It was only on my face too. I recommend DayQuil though because it did help me breathe better and made me feel much better.
