Pristiq is a terrible antidepressant drug!!! I had severe headaches, vision problems, edginess, anger, bitterness, insomnia, shakiness, felt like I was going to snap. I sobbed all of the time. Thought everyone was against me. Thank goodness I stopped it. Changed doctors and got straightened out with Lexapro. Unfortunately, I just found out my sister is on this drug from hell. It helps some, but not a lot. I still have horrible reactions when I am around my worst allergens (ie: dogs, cats) even when I have taken Claritin 24 Hour that morning. For general seasonal allergies it does help keep them at bay enough that I can function. It can also help to dispel some of my headaches, if they are allergy and/or congestion-based.

When I switched from Imitrex to Treximet, I found relief was within an hour and if I had a bad migraine and took a second one after one hour it was gone. In the past, My severe Migraines could last on and off for 3-5 days at its worst. Side effect is heartburn. I want to thank my Pharmist Richard for telling me about the drug...I had to ask my doctor about it and then she gave me a sample.

My doctor, after drawing and evaluating my blood, suggested that I take an iron supplement. The supplement was an over the counter one, having 150% of the daily value of iron needed in a healthy diet. Since I hardly need meat, she suggested that I buy something with a percentage that high. For the first few weeks that I took it, every time (even with a full stomach) I received painful stomach cramps and became extremely drowsy.
