I take Accutane for my severe facial acne. I love how well it clears up my face. There is an extreme noticeable difference in my skin and self confidence. It can have some rough side effects though. The medication often makes me feel queasy and nauseous. I also get moody at times because of it but I think it is worth dealing with to receive the benefits.

I would have thought 3 months is a long enough trial, I don't think therefore that this one is going to work for you... Have you tried anything else? If this is the next in a long list of "things to try" then can I suggest that you go back to your GP and ask for a dermatology referral. There is a drug called Roaccutane ( you may have heard of it) Yes, its strong and Yes, it does have side effects, but it is effective against acne when all else has failed. Pristiq is a terrible antidepressant drug!!! I had severe headaches, vision problems, edginess, anger, bitterness, insomnia, shakiness, felt like I was going to snap. I sobbed all of the time. Thought everyone was against me. Thank goodness I stopped it. Changed doctors and got straightened out with Lexapro. Unfortunately, I just found out my sister is on this drug from hell. I've been searching everywhere to see if anyone else has had the same violent physical reaction to Candex. I am happy I found this page with a couple of posters who have had identical side effects. A year ago, I was put on a regimen of vitamins, fish oil, probiotics, etc., and completely cleaned up my diet. It was recommended that I also introduce Candex, which I did. Anything to feel better!
