Went to the doctor after about two years of being in constant bummed-out moods. He diagnosed me with dysthymia (mild, chronic depressed state), and prescribed me with Celexa. After about a year, my moods are much improved and normalized, I can concentrate on tasks better, and I don't dwell on negative experiences. The main issue with the medication is that I think it makes me a bit more tired, though I have always required a lot of sleep.

My 23 year old daughter had her first gardasil shot in March 2009. Within 12 hours she suffered left sided weakness, resperitory distress and a severe muscle type seizure and was in the hospital. She still is suffering from severe muscle spasms, cognitive impairment and needs to take Klonopin on a daily basis. I have suffered from depression for as long as I could remember. I didn't like to be near anyone or go and do anything. I felt it was the only thing I was in control of. With Prozac, I have learned to let loose a little bit, and being with other people no longer bothers me. Prozac is a Godsend.

Sublingual is a terrible idea. It tasted terrible and made my tongue numb. 15 minutes after taking it, I was completely drugged out and had to be taken to bed immediately. Slept 12 hours straight in a deep sleep, but apparently snored loudly and gasped for air all night long. Needless to say that was my first and last experience taking this medication as an alternative to Geodon.

I usually only have to take Zyrtec during the spring. It is really effective and my allergy symptoms are relieved. Since it makes me drowsy, I take it right after dinner and before I go to bed. However, I become abnormally drowsy and have a really hard time waking up in the mornings.
