I have had simular issues. I first started taking chantix Oct 29, 2008. I had terrible abdominal pain and severe nausea. So, I convinced myself to continue taking the drug because I thought nausea and abdominal pain was better than continuing to smoke. Boy was I wrong. I quit smoking on Nov 15, 2008 AND quit taking chantix 3 days later. I knew I had to because chantix was making me very ill. My allergies improved however the drug would make me drowsy sometimes mild sometimes strong. the drug also affected my sleep, i would have nightmares.difficulty sleeping i dont sleep that much anymore.i stopped it for a while but my lack of sleep continued, i'm not satisfied with the drug but it is the drug that helps. This medication generally makes me feel very tired, nauseated. I often feel very hot--perspire much more than ever. It is not taking care of the pain. I entered a pain management program with a phy, reccomendation for a neurostimulator for back pain. I wonder if my med was changed to make me think that anything has got to be better than this. Previously I had beem using lortab 5-no more than 2 daily along with soma--usually only once daily.
