This is a horrible drug that caused all kinds of side effects and made me miserable for the last 2 years. Started taking it due to gastritis from NSAIDS. Tried Pepcid first but got acid breakthrough after 1 month. Tried 10 mg capsules of Omeprazole, but they had a nasty aftertaste. Bumped up to 20 mg, then 40 mg. Constant bloating and abdominal pains. Since starting this using Carbimazole I have noticed a reduction in my heart racing and hands shaking but I have had constant throat infections from about 6 weeks including 2 chest infections, pleurisy, laryngitis and now tonsillitis and a swollen eye, all with a high temperature and headache. With the exception of a few day in between each episode when I have felt well. I think I will stop taking this product.
