Taken by a 16yo Lennox Gastaut patient. Seemed to increase partial seizures. Had 2 status seizures while on this med and began having Atonic seizures which she had not had in several years. Was very out of it and hardly sleeps. weaning this med now.

Ditto the previous comment also submitted today. Started Prozac (then generic) on and off since it hit the market in the mid-80's. Have tried just about everything else and would have some noticeable side effect(s) always going back to Prozac. Tried those other drugs not because Proz didn't work but as new ones came on market and heard positive comments, gave them a try. I think the prednisone made me feel worse and once I stopped taking it all the aforementioned negative symptoms disappeared.

I am glad I found this site also. I took candex before bed and woke up with an allergic reaction. I only get this way if I eat something I am allergic too, which I am positive I didn't so it has to be the candex. My eyes, lips, and hands are extremely swollen and I can feel my lungs are swollen. My chest really hurts and it's hard to breath.

I take it along with Actos once a day and glucophage XR and all together they seem to do the job. My blood sugars are never quite as low as the target rates but I actually feel dizzy and crumby when I am within the 70-120 range for my blood sugars. I believe my blood sugar level should actually be slightly higher than the average person because I feel better when they are around 120-160. I know this is not the accepted view but that is how I feel.
