I am into my 5th day with one more tablet to take yet I still have a low grade fever this morning.. Very disappointed but my family doctor said it would take several days. I did see a nurse practitioner at a Kroger "Little Clinic" and she felt I had possible pneumonia. I saw an ENT the next afternoon and they could not hear the crackling in my lung but I had taken the 2 tablets the evening before of the Z-Pak. Fever has continued on this third morning since.

This is a horrible drug that caused all kinds of side effects and made me miserable for the last 2 years. Started taking it due to gastritis from NSAIDS. Tried Pepcid first but got acid breakthrough after 1 month. Tried 10 mg capsules of Omeprazole, but they had a nasty aftertaste. Bumped up to 20 mg, then 40 mg. Constant bloating and abdominal pains. I spotted continually as well as mood swings. Depression like you wouldn't believe and I was so tired, it was hard to stay awake through a whole day. My second month I got my period heavier than I've ever had so I quit immediately. This pill should be taken off the market asap. If you want to go generic, I recommend Jolesa. This one has worked for me.
