During the first week I took half a dose and experienced a pretty strong distaste to all foods. Even when I was hungry, the sight and smell of food made me feel sick. This went away during the second week. My only other side effect is that I don't sleep as much as I used to. Also, it tends to wear off suddenly between doses. I am no longer taking this drop I used it to treat my scratched cornea, and it worked wonders in speeding up the process after I was showing a very dangerous turn of events after I went from almost healed to almost blind.

Has anyone tried going off this nasty drug? I am on day two of weaning down from 300 mgs to 200 mgs daily of Lyrica. Next week I am supposed to go down to just 100 mgs....and the following week should be down to none. My problem is this: I am feeling anxious, easily irritated, have irrational thoughts, and have been driving my poor husband nuts with fits of tears every other hour. Petroleum jelly is a great treatment for dry skin and other skin rashes. It is gentle, inexpensive, and effective. I have never had problems with it. However, more severe skin dryness and rashes may need other treatments.
