I have awful menstrual cramps, and so, generally, when I can relieve that, I can think clearer and my emotions are more intact (hence my answer for the emotional side-effects above).

Garlic works wonderfully for helping to prevent a cold at the initial stages. you just eat the garlic raw (or with a small glass of milk) and it kills the infection.

I had to take Hydrocodone when I got into a car wreck and an airbag damaged my right eye. When I was taking them, I had a hard time remembering what was going on. They also made me extremely drowsy a lot of the time. My dosage was somewhat high however.

Theraflu is very good. I take it when I cannot access Nyquil, but it still does the job. If you do not have time to sleep it off, then do not take it.

I too am hyperthyroid. I was prescribed carbimazole and had an allergic reaction with a skin rash which erupted within days. I then was prescribed PTU, propylithouacil which I initially took at a very high dosage, namely 12 tablets/day and after several weeks lost my taste completely and had bad headaches. My consultant reduced the dosage to two/day after 2 months as I had gone underactive. I gradually regained my taste but then developed pains in my arms so bad I couldn't sleep on my sides... I had a terrible reaction. I took one dose (2 Pills) about a month ago and felt terrible. I tried it on 12/24/09 andafter only two doses of two pills felt sick, headache, dizziness, nausea I took two pills on 12/25/09 I experienced a bad headache, numbness on the left side of my face, nausea and dizzinness as well as fatigue. I am very scared!
