Lipitor, and perhaps all fat-soluble statins, will go down as the next falidamide. This drug readily crosses the blood brain barrier and wreaks havoc on cognition/memory/mood. As an added bonus, it is now becoming apparent that Lipitor is especially effective at causing systemic mitochondria DNA mutations (See, e.g., UCSD Study - Dr. Golomb). vI have been on Lyrica for Neuropathy for the past 5 and 1/2 years. It worked about 70-75% of the time for the first few years but now it works less than 40% of the time. My biggest problems with the Lyrica is the side effects-you name them I have them; weight gain (30-40 pounds), chills, night sweats, insomnia, depression, fatique, lack of motivation, memory loss, confusion, sleepiness, abdominal pain, GI bleeding, nose bleeds. In October I got diagnosed with H1N1. My doctor prescribed me with Tamiflu and I took it twice a day until my prescription ended. It helped me immediately and I felt much better after using it. I recommend it to anyone who gets the Swine Flu.

This seems to be the most effective drug for depression/anxiety that I have been given. I have been on quite a few. It doesnt seem to have any side effects, which was great. The only problem I have is when I dont take it. There have been times when I was due for a refill and had to wait until payday or for the pharmacy to open on Monday. Since I have been taking Celexa for 13 years, I have noticed that when I do not take it, it creates a whole new being that is NOT nice to deal with in me!!! I mean I notice almost immediately that I have gruffer reactions, am short with people and have no patience and no tolerance. I get very angry, which is not something I normally have issues with. Sldo, og recent, I have noticed that I have become crowd phobic when I do not take my Celexa. I have urges to get away from crowds.
