After finding out I had Graves Disease and thyrotoxicosis in January 2010 I was put on carbimazole (think I had symptoms for nearly a year but always put them down to something else, maybe "change of life" etc) After only 6 days I had a severe allergic reaction to the carbimazole that nearly lost me my life! I was originally prescribed lortab for fibromyalgia pain. I was prescribed Lortab 10, 4 times a day but quickly began abusing it. It seemed that the longer I took it, the more I had to take to obtain the same pain relief. I abused Lortab for 1 year and as a result became physically and physchologically addicted and finally sought help at a drug rehab treatment facility. This drug is effective for acute pain but I would not recommend for patients with long term chronic pain.
