This has helped amazingly. I no longer get the painful cramps I used to get and I'm less moody during that time of month. Only side effect has been a very dry vagina. Makes sex tough sometimes, but not all the time.

Update. The worry over Lantus is over for me. I tried Levemir for a couple of months, before switching back to Lantus as it made no difference to the pain. Then I had a diagnosis of polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) a few weeks ago. This was after several visits to my doctor and a rheumatologist, blood tests and a radiological bone scan. This drug, prescribed for Hpylori infection is HARSH. Every dose I ask myself whether or not I should go off it. One time I skipped a dose! Nausea, stomach aches, itching, unquenchable thirst, diarrhea, black stool, are some of the side effects. If you have to take this drug, prepare to feel awful and don't expect much out of yourself. I was prescribed this drug when I had a severe sinus infection and kept vomiting. The drowsiness associated with this medicine was more debilitating to me than the vomiting, so I stopped taking the medicine. I think that they did not need to prescribe me something so strong, and the doctor did not warn me of the side effects I would likely experience.
