I was put on Lyrica for fibromyalgia. I started out on a very low dose since I don't handle meds very well. 25 mg once a day for two days, then 50 mg for two days, then 75 mg for two days, then 100 mg for two days. On the day after I took 75mg (I took the pills at night) I started bleeding! I am post menopause. Haven't had a period in over 16 months. Now I'm having a hard time. I was on the Nuvaring for 1.5 years with excellent results: confidence in my birth control, no change in appetite, lighter, more comfortable periods. Lyrica is ok for treating anxiety conditions like GAD. It works well but the confusion/dizziness at dosage above 300mg per day can be a problem. It does not have many gastrointestinal side effects but I find that it irritates a long term gastritis problem of mine. Lyrica is a good alternative for those who cant tolerate conventional antidepressants or those who would like to avoid the use of benzodiazipines. after being on accutane and many many other medications for acne, ampicillin has kept my acne under control for the most part. a negative that i have noticed that i believe to be related to it is that i occassionally have diarrhea.

Accutane is a great drug to control acne. My acne has almost cleared up completely from using the drug. My side-effects are dry, itchy skin and dry eyes. I believe the positives outweigh the negatives in my case.
